With the cooperation of Or Bor Tor and Soi dog Foundation, Lanta Animal Welfare will arrange to have most, if not all of the dog population sterilized! We need donations to make this possible! Please read more at the "News" page!











Lanta Animal Welfare

Is a volenteer an non-profit organization locted on Koh Lanta Island in south Thailand. Our mission is to help solve the overpopulation and suffering of stray dogs and catz by first and foremost humane sterilization programs. There are no government or charitable agencies to protect them from abuse - only a few local animal lovers who house large numbers of them, using there own funds an manpower.

We are seeking volunteers and donations!

What is LANTA ANIMAL WELFARE
As of today?
- A volenteer an non-profit organization locted on Koh Lanta Island in south Thailand
- Our mission is first and foremost to help solve the overpopulation and suffering of stray cats and dogs by humane sterilization programs, and also educate people to understand this is the best for the whole Island.
- We try to be of help to give info and advise where people can go to get help for sick and injured animals.. (There is not a veterinarian on the Island)
- We are planing on building up a small clinic on the Island (with the donations that we get) so traveling vets. can come and work, both with sterilization and helping injured animals. We need some land for this.
- To be able to do all of this we are dependent on DONATIONS and VOLUNTEER work from YOU!
- We also want to keep Lanta a safe place to be for both human beings and animals.

We are NOT
- An animal shelter (that means you cannot drop animals here, we cannot take care of them)
- An animal clinic
- There is not a veterinarian on the Island
