  1. Hi Junie,

I just returned home to Canada after a vacation to Koh Lanta, where I took a cooking class at Time for Lime and learned about the great work you are doing with the animal rescue.

I run a photography business in Ottawa, and would like fundraise some money for your organization during the month of March. All monies from pet portraits will be donated to the lanta animal welfare at the end of the month.

I was wondering if you had a fundraiser package that you could email to me? Also, can I have your premission to create a link to your donation page from my website?

    Cheers,
    Carolyn

    • Hi Carolyn,

      Cheers,

      Jon

  7. hello, i read about your center in backpacker magazine while staying in khao sok, then i forgot the name of your company so emailed them to try and locate you!!
i have been in thailand now for 1 month and feel i would like to do something worthwhile with some of my time before i go home. i am very interested in volunteering at your place.i am here for 3 more months and would gladly spend a month with you, i also am hoping to volunteer at an orphanage or something similar. at home i have two dogs and two cats (who i miss very much!) and i adore animals.i am happy to do anything to help, but would especially like to work hands on with the dogs. i look forward to hearing back from you. x

  8. Best of luck to my former (well maybe seven years ago is a lot longer than former) colleague Jon Corke who’s just started to manage the clinic. I’m sure the residents will be easier to manage than Dan, Jonathan, Steve and myself, during our (OK, mostly my) press week antics! Having seen some of the before and after photos in recent times of the animals taken in to care, it goes without saying the work done is extremely worthy.

  9. Hi my name is Mette..

Hope to here from you . . And that you understand, my sad english :( ..

I stumbled across this website while looking for available Veterinary Nursing positions internationally.

I assume the management position has already been filled but I am very interested in working for your organisation whatever the position on offer.

I have 10 years experience as a vet nurse which includes working in a variety of small animal general practices and as an emergency & critical care nurse for one of the largest practices in Sydney. I currently am a practice manager. In the past I volunteered internationally as a veterinary nurse in Africa.

I have visited Thailand. I love the people, culture and creatures of Thailand.

I feel that I would be an asset to your facility. Please contact me on my email address if any positions become available. I have an active passport and am willing to travel.

    Kind regards

    Sarah

  11. Hello i found your site after looking for a long long time, as it used to be on gapyear.com but can no longer find it.

I am 19 years of age and really really want to take part in helping you with the animal care. I do not have any qualifications within it but i have a dog and cat myself whom i have cared for since i was 7 years of age. I love animals and have alot of love to give. I am really against animal cruelty and want to do my very best in helping the organisation i just need to be given the chance.

    Many thanks

    Miss E Morgan

  12. Hi,

I am a graduate of a pre-veterinary program in the United States. Do you offer any kind of internships or programs available? I have extensive surgery experience, especially in spaying of cats. I am trying to get into veterinary school, and would love to add international work to my resume

    Thanks!

    Lisa

  13. A place where care and love for animals is important, deserves all the best. Thank you Lanta Animal Welfare for his work, is fantastic

  14. Thank you for doing such a sterling job! Wishing you the very best.

  15. Such terrible news. Hugo was such a sweet dog, it’s a shame he never managed to conquer his fear. But I’ll always remember him sneaking up for biscuits when he thought you weren’t looking.

  16. Hi there,
I was wondering if you could offer me some advice. I rescued two cats from the roadside in Krabi last year and have been taking care of them since. However, I am hoping to move back to England next year and do not want to leave them behind. They are sterilised and fully vaccinated. Could you give me some information as to how I go about taking them to England and how long it will take.
    Thank you so much.

  17. Wow, what you are doing for these dogs is amazing- truly inspiring. Keep up the good work and best wishes for the future.

  20. Hi,

I’m in Lanta for the next 4 weeks and them again for 6 weeks at the end of February. I’d love to walk the dogs or do anything else that might help :-)
