I’m in Koh Samui at the moment but was thinking about heading over to Koh Lanta in a week or so. I’d love to pop in and help and so was wondering if you could suggest anywhere nearby to stay? I’m on quite a tight budget now, so basic and cheap would be great!

Hello! I too am interested in the volunteer program for 1 month with possible extension. Currently I’m working in Hong Kong but am happy to take some time out to busy myself in more rewarding & fruitful pursuits. I don’t know anybody that loves animals more than I do, quite honestly A bit of background knowledge: I’ve volunteered with the SPCA Worldwide, spend the greater part of my year traveling & combining it with other volunteer experiences (Bio-Organic Farming in Spain & India), I work with Animals Asia, HKDR & HKAlleycats here in HK (Organizing fund-raising events, providing assistance in Marketing & Advertising, & fostering/rehabilitating stray animals). Moreover, I’ve been a vegetarian for 12 years for no other reason than I love animals. I also cater raw vegan & volunteer as a chef at the World Peace Cafe.
All in all, I don’t have any medical skills to bring to the table but I can offer copious amounts of TLC, and will certainly seek to learn other helpful skills, quickly, on the job.

i just had the honor of walking at dog at LAW. Now, I’m here on the website to start donating to sponsor one of the dogs. I am doing this in honor of my sweet Zoe, a Brittany Spaniel, who is waiting for me at home and Jake, a Golden Retriever, who is waiting for me in Heaven! I am currently finishing my first year of veterinary school at the University College Dublin in Ireland, and have 3 years previous work experience as a veterinary technician where I assisted in surgery as well as examinations. LAW sounds like a fantastic opportunity to gin indispensable hands-on experience in a truly unique setting. Please feel free to contact me, and I look forward to hearing from you.

There’s no charge, we just ask for a 5,000 baht deposit for those that choose to take advantage of the onsite accommodation (minimum one month stay required). The deposit is refunded in full at the end of your stay. Should you decide to stay elsewhere on the island the deposit doesn’t apply.

I am currently trying to find a position as a student vet nurse in the uk, so i can train and become qualified as a Vet Nurse. I am also looking for any work experience i can get(Have lots of hands on animal experience.)
The opportunity to come out and work at your center would be indespensible, for personal development and to help such a great charity.
As a volunteer do we have to pay anything to come over?

I just arrived to Koh Lanta, having spent 3 weeks in Ao Nang and trying to figure out what I might still do during my last days in Thailand.
As I have been working before as a volunteer with animals, mainly in South America, I thought I might do some good in Lanta.
I am staying in Saladan. I’ll try to check you out in Long beach. If not, I’ll give a donation.
