OASA (Organisation Against the Suffering of Animals) has kindly donated us 70,000THB to buy an autoclave!! Thank you to Mirja Holm Thomsen and the board of this amazing Danish organisation that helps charities like ours getting founding and volunteer vets.

Please check out their website (only in Danish but an English version is on its way): http://oasa-dk.dk/

Thanks a lot !!

We are deeply sadden by the sudden loss of Hugo. Within a week he stopped eating and developed a skin condition. Because of his fear of human contact he did not response to the treatment and was letting himself go. It was a very difficult decision to make but we decided that it was better for Hugo to let him go.

He now rests at Time for Lime and will always have a special place in our heart.

Soi Dog has performed 89 sterilisations beginning of October on Koh Lanta on both strays and owned animals.

This is a bit less that what they’re used to but it is a sign that our work starts to bring results!! There are still a few strays that are very difficult to catch and are based in locations where the landscape makes the dog catchers work quite tricky with very steep hills and bushy jungle.

This is very encouraging and it finally feels like we’re going the right way!

Thank you to everybody who make our work possible, volunteers, donators and of course Soi Dog Foundation.

Soi Dog Foundation agreed once more to give us a hand with sterilisation before the high season starts.

They will be catching strays and sterilise all cats and dogs brought to our clinic from the 4th to the 8th (midday) October 2010.

A big thank you to their team without whom the population of strays on Lanta would probably be three time bigger!

Lib, one of our permanent Thai staff, is starting a family!! She is excepting her first baby and we’re so happy for her!!

The bad news is that she’s leaving us… She will go back to her home town (Udon Thani) to be with her family for this new adventure.

We wish her all the best and who knows, maybe she’ll want to come back… We hope!

While we’re looking for a new staff, we will definitely need more help from volunteers so don’t be shy and contact us!

Me again! I found a new home! I am in beach heaven far away from the road. I am the king at Klapa Klum bar now, with my new owner Khun Ae’s 3 cats. My job is to welcome all customers and keep them happy which, to be honest with you, is pretty easy and enjoyable. On my free time I go run on the beach with my doggies friends. I think I’ll be just fine here and please come and visit us!

Nicola is settling in her new job. After 2 weeks of hard work of getting familiar with the center, the staff and of course all the animals, she starting to have a bigger picture of what needs to be done.

We are very pleased to count you within our team!

A big THANK YOU to Doris and Christian Hasenbichler from Austria!!!

Once again they, and their LAW support group, raised about 45,000THB for us! They have been our greatest supporters since the beginning. They always seem to know when we need donations the most… That must be a special connection there…

Thank you again so much for your kind hearts!

A big thank you to Jack from Panorama Resort and Restaurant to give Mama a good home.

She has been though so much that she well deserve it!

After having been saved from the hole she was hiding, a difficult spaying surgery and a poisoning (probably by playing with some poisonous creatures…), she finally got home save!

Good luck to her and Jack!!

And her 3 puppies have gone to their new home a couple of days ago. Their have an amazing place and we feel very grateful to Juck and her husband for taking them in.

It wasn’t very difficult to fall in love with these little monsters!! Our team went there to help the future owners to build a small house for the siblings so they can have their own place to sleep, eat and feel secure.

Their other dog has now something to look after!

All the best to the big and happy family!

Here we go, our wish has been heard!! Let us introduce you to Lib, our latest recruit.

She’s from Udon Thani (North East of Thailand) and came to Koh Lanta for some work.

Luckily for us she has found us and we are very proud to have her in our team.

Welcome Lib!!!
